Look up remaining service life
All CYPRES cutters have a 16.5 year service life when properly maintained. Locate the number on the black heat shrink of your cutter cable and enter it below to calculate the end of service life.
Do not use cutters after the end of cutter service life (16.5 years after DOM). Used cutters that are / were attached to a CYPRES unit are also subject to a technical service / maintenance.
New cutters that were never attached to a CYPRES unit and were properly stored, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, do not need to be sent in for maintenance within the service time frame.
