Domestic Shipping Instructions
Shipping costs vary based on the carrier and method selected. We recommend you use a carrier such as UPS, FedEx, or the U.S. Postal Service, and that you insure the package with an adequate amount of insurance. These carriers have package tracking services, which we suggest you monitor.
International Shipping Instructions
You are responsible for all duties and taxes that apply to your country. When preparing to send your device to us for maintenance/repair, we suggest you include this information on the shipping document:
CYPRES
“Return of aeronautical navigation appliance to the U.S. for repair – no commercial value – to be returned to the original owner after repairs are completed. HTC: 9014.20.8080 – value for customs purposes $20.00 USD.”
LB ALTIMETERS
“Return of aeronautical navigation appliance to the U.S. for repair – no commercial value – to be returned to the original owner after repairs are completed. HTC: 9026.80.6000 – value for customs purposes $10.00 USD.”
Note, the value for customs purposes, is per device.
We recommend you insure your package (value for carriage). Value for customs purposes is different than value for carriage (insurance). If your package is valued for customs purposes at more than $2,000 USD, it will require formal customs entry and additional fees will apply for processing by US Customs.
